These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your purchase of and access to the Certified Nutritionist (CN) Certificate program and any other course, exam, or certificate (the "Program") offered by the American Board of Certified Nutritionists ("ABCN," "we," "us"), a brand of A.S. Business Consulting LLC. By creating an account, enrolling, or using abcnutri.org, you agree to these Terms.
The CN Certificate is a private certificate of completion issued by ABCN for completing a self-paced nutrition-education program. It is not a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential, not a state license, and not a government-issued or accredited degree. It does not authorize you to provide medical nutrition therapy or any service that requires a license in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for knowing and following the laws that apply to you.
You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. One account per person; credentials and certificates are issued to a single named individual and may not be shared, sold, or transferred.
Coursework and examinations must be completed by you, honestly and without unauthorized assistance. We may withhold or revoke a certificate, and close an account without refund, for misrepresentation, fraud, sharing of exam content, or other violations of these Terms.
All course content, materials, examinations, frameworks, and the ABCN™ name and certificate designs are the intellectual property of A.S. Business Consulting LLC and are protected by law. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the materials for your own learning only. You may not copy, record, redistribute, resell, or create derivative works from any part of the Program.
We collect the information you provide (such as name, email, and progress) to deliver the Program, issue your certificate, and send course-related notifications. We use trusted service providers (including our payment processor and email and hosting providers) to operate the Program. We do not sell your personal information. By enrolling you consent to receive transactional emails related to your account and progress — including account creation, enrollment, course completion, exam results, and your certificate.
The Program is provided "as is" for educational purposes and is not medical, dietary, or professional advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, A.S. Business Consulting LLC and ABCN are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the Program.
We may update these Terms; the version in effect at your purchase governs that purchase. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Your Certified Nutritionist (CN) certification is valid for two (2) years from the date it is issued. To keep your certification active, before your expiration date you must complete 4 hours of continuing education (continuing-education classes are purchased separately) and pay the $150 renewal fee.
A 30-day grace period applies after the expiration date. If you complete your continuing education and pay the renewal fee within those 30 days, your certification remains active without interruption. After the 30-day grace period, the certification lapses and must be reinstated by meeting the current renewal requirements.
